Grants will provide support in four core areas: Education, Health/Nutrition, Housing/Shelter and Workforce/Asset Development. The Fund will give priority to organizations and their projects that are significantly expanding their services, need support in leveraging other resources to provide improved services, or require seed funding to launch a new innovation. All proposed services must specifically and primarily serve the Allston-Brighton community.
The deadline for letters of inquiry is April 1, 2015
The Rabbi Abraham Halbfinger and Charlesview Charitable Fund is named in memory of a founding board director. Inspired by the shared values and long-term commitment and collaboration among Charlesview Inc.’s managing congregations–Congregation Kadimah Toras-Moshe, St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church and Brighton Community United Methodist Church–the Fund was conceived to help organizations’ efforts to make the Allston-Brighton community a thriving neighborhood where opportunity abounds for all residents. The Fund will complement other community efforts to provide additional resources to nonprofits helping individuals and families living in Allston-Brighton to achieve their dreams.
